M&D Distributors - Thompson Diesel - Fuel Injection and Turbocharger Specialist

M&D Distributors - Thompson Diesel Inc is a factory-authorized fuel injection parts and repair service center and also offers light-duty truck repair on Dodge, Ford, and Chevrolet diesel engines. Our other location in Oklahoma City, Thompson Turbo, specializes in parts and repair for natural gas turbochargers and regulators for Waukesha and Caterpillar engines.

History

Brothers Ray Thompson and James Thompson started TDI in April 1970 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The focus of the new business was specialized. There was a need for servicing the various fuel injection systems in the diesel industry for agricultural, industrial and trucking applications. The first customers were mostly dealers and trucking companies and the end user business grew over the years. In 1973, TDI entered the Tulsa, OK market. Five years later, in 1978, TDI built a facility in the I-40 and MacArthur area of Oklahoma City, where it remains in operation today.

Thompson Turbo, a division of Thompson Diesel, Inc., moved to a new location in January 2003 to better service the natural gas compression and pipeline transportation industry. Today the Thompson Turbo division is one of top ten in North America in the high-speed natural gas compression market. Our customers include Hanover, Universal Compression, Compressor Systems, Inc., Oneok Productions, Enogex, Williams Companies, Western Gas, and many smaller companies.

The fuel injection shop in Tulsa is also TDI's corporate headquarters. The fuel shops are fully authorized by all diesel fuel injection manufacturers to handle service, parts, and warranty.

Raymond Thompson retired in 1992. James Thompson retired from the fuel injection business in 2011 but still remains active in Thompson Equipment & Tools, refurbishing used test stand equipment.

The current owners of the business are Al Johnston, Everett and Linda Stacy, who have more than 100 years combined experience in the fuel injection and turbocharger business.

Turbo Shop

Totally committed to serving the natural gas industry. Our turbocharger rebuild center is located in Oklahoma City, OK. With over 35 years of experience, we are the leader in the natural gas industry for small-bore turbocharger repair. Our primary focus is on turbochargers for CAT and Waukesha engines.

We are pleased to be a distributor for Garrett and Schwitzer turbocharger products. These two manufacturers supply CAT and Waukesha with original equipment turbochargers for new engines. As a result, the focus of our work is to remanufacture turbochargers to original factory specifications.

The latest and most effective equipment is used in our rebuild process to help keep costs in line and our products competitively priced. Precise specifications and details are closely adhered to during the rebuild procedure. We are also EPA compliant for hazardous waste disposal.

Our inventory is second to none in North America for natural gas turbochargers and replacement piece parts. We understand the needs of the industry and are ready to meet them. Our commitment is to have what the customer needs when they need it.
