Biodiesel
A diesel fuel consisting of long-chain alkyl fatty acid esters typically made by chemically reacting lipids (e.g., vegetable oil or animal fat) with an alcohol (methyl, ethyl, or propyl).
Biodiesel is meant to be used in standard, unmodified diesel engines and is different from the vegetable oils and waste vegetable oils (WVO) used to fuel converted diesel engines. Biodiesel can be used alone, or blended with petro diesel in any proportions. The secondary advantage of biodiesel is that it has a lower cold weather gel temperature.
