Direct Injection Diesel

Direct injection diesel engines utilize an injector that sprays fuel directly past the glow plug into the combustion chamber. Direct injection allows for more complete burning of the diesel fuel, and thus better efficiency and less exhaust smoke (unburnt fuel).
