Our factory trained technicians work mostly on Cummins, Caterpillar and Detroit Diesel engines — but we will work on any diesel engine on or off road, marine and industrial.

We do complete engine overhauls and inframe overhauls as well as tune ups, injector changes, bearing rolls and anything diesel engine related.

Moto-Vac

Connect engine to machine and flush carbon deposits from inside fuel system. Great for lowering emissions test results. Lowers off idle smoke considerably.

Replacement parts not included. Time subject to engine access.

Series 60 Tune-Up

DDEC I through V. Includes Valve and injector re-set, rocker gear inspection, engine brake re-set, (if equipped). Scan engine for codes.

N-14 Tune-Up

Includes Valve and Injector re-set, rocker gear inspection,engine brake re-set, (if equipped). Scan engine for codes.

Cat Tune-Up

3406 C-12, C-15.
Includes Valve and injector re-set, rocker gear inspection, engine brake re-set, (if equipped). Scan engine for codes.

Air Care ON-ROAD:

K.N.W Diesel offers certified ACOR inspectors to do Air Care on your heavy-duty diesel vehicle at a competitive price.

ACOR is a mobile inspection program operated by the BC Ministry of Transportation. Teams of certified ACOR inspectors run roadside tests of heavy-duty diesel vehicles, looking for excessive smoke emissions. ACOR protects public health and helps provide safe, clean air by enforcing British Columbia's diesel emission standards.

KNW Diesel has a complete parts department offering genuine Detroit Diesel parts and aftermarket IPD and Interstate-Mcbee parts. We carry lots of used parts as well as new.

K.N.W. Diesel Inc. has a large selection of instock new and used inventory. We offer rebuild kits for genuine Detroit Diesel and we are a distributor for three aftermarket lines:

• Interstate-Mcbee: Engine parts for Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar and Cummins
• IPD:  Parts for Caterpillar engines, Detroit Diesel 60 Series and Cummins ISX

SCANIA PRODUCTS:

Scania Industrial Tier 4i engines are available in 9L, 13L, and 16L configurations ranging from 275-770 HP. Scania uses a SCR and XPI high pressure common rail fuel injection system to meet Tier 4i emission regulations. Scania industrial engines can be used in a variety of applications including:

YANMAR PRODUCTS:

Yanmar provides clean, quiet, and compact diesel engines for the industrial market. Yanmar industrial engines are available in single, two, three, and four cylinder configurations with output ratings ranging from 4.7 through 83.5 horsepower. Complete power unit packages are available for both industrial and generator applications.

Yanmar also offers an air cooled portable diesel generator from 2.5 kW to 5 Kw.

Machine Shop

Our machine shop has Rottler boring and honing machines for cylinder block boring and re-sleeving. And we offer complete cylinder head and component rebuilding, surface grinding and hot tanking.

Our machine shop is set up to machine cylinder blocks (boring and sleeving) and cylinder heads. We rebuild engine components such as turbochargers, blowers and governors. Your camshafts can be ground and your crankshafts magnafluxed and polished or ground. We work closely with local fuel injection shops to test fuel pumps and injectors, or rebuild as required.

We also have a Motovac Fuel System cleaning machine and we are an Air Care testing facility. This means that we can take care of many of your needs in our shop — giving you a more affordable and quicker solution.

About Us

KNW Diesel Inc. has been in business locally and successfully for 27 years. The company was started by Gary Woods, in a small one bay shop in the mid-eighties. Gary was factory trained by Detroit Diesel and has over 10 years experience working for them. He specialized in two-stroke Detroit Engines but also worked on other engines such as Caterpillar and Cummins.

KNW Diesel obtained a great reputation and established a loyal customer base from all industries including marine, forestry and highway transportation. As K.N.W. Diesel became more popular, there was need for expansion. K.N.W. Diesel now has Five Bays complete with a machine shop and component rebuilding Dept., which includes five mechanics, two machinists and two partsmen who sell a variety of in stock items including genuine Detroit parts and aftermarket IPD Parts.
